sɨrɨkʷ n. broom balai (5 groups, 13 languages) A syn: kɨɬɨɗ, sɨmɨt ʸ.
This root is found primarily in the Mofu group. There was a regular change *r→l in the North sub-branch, though Vulum has /r/. The labialisation from *kʷ has been reanalysed as the labialisation prosody in three groups and as a vowel in Giziga Marva. These are common sporadic processes. The change *k→h in Gidar is unestablished.
